"Had a great experience. Good customer care and love my new smile."

- Rachael Haughey -

In today's world, few of us have the time to visit the dentist for multiple appointments in order to receive dental treatment. At the same time, sitting for hours in a dental chair is not ideal either. One solution to this is called CEREC, a state-of-the-art machine that can make permanent crowns, veneers or onlays for you while you are still in the chair.

Here is how it works:
Here is how it works:
  1. The dentist will prepare your tooth using a small drill.
  2. A special camera is then used to take an image of your teeth which is then uploaded to the design unit.
  3. This image is uploaded to a CAD/CAM unit, which creates a 3D model of your new tooth.
  4. The model is used by a milling machine, which creates your new tooth from a block of high quality ceramic that best matches your surrounding teeth.
  5. The restoration is then fixed into place.

FAQ’s

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a dental technology that allows dentists to design, create, and place ceramic restorations like crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays in just one visit. It uses digital imaging and CAD/CAM technology for precise, custom restorations without the need for temporary crowns or multiple appointments.

With CEREC, the dentist takes a digital scan of your tooth, designs the restoration on a computer, and then mills it from a block of ceramic while you wait. The entire process is usually completed within an hour, making it convenient and efficient.

Yes, CEREC crowns are made from high-quality ceramic materials that are strong, durable, and highly aesthetic. With proper care, they can last as long as traditional crowns and offer a natural look that blends with your other teeth.

The primary benefits of CEREC are convenience and time savings, as it eliminates the need for temporary crowns and multiple visits. CEREC restorations are also highly accurate and tailored to fit your tooth precisely, leading to comfortable, long-lasting results.

While CEREC works well for most people, certain cases may require traditional lab-made restorations, such as complex cases with significant structural damage or specific aesthetic requirements. Your dentist will recommend the best option based on your needs.
